Get Connected
Each fall, 4Help hires
a temporary staff of approximately 50-60 people who are technically
experienced with computer software configurations, the Virginia Tech Ethernet network,
and the
Internet to work as a part of the Get Connected staff. The majority of staff are also Virginia Tech
students. Get Connected teams work in the residence halls throughout the
move-in
period to assist students in getting the university's Internet software,
VTnet, installed on their systems and to get their computers connected
to the Virginia Tech network. Get Connected staff members work most intensely during the move-in period before classes begin. They will also be available through the first week of classes in the evenings at a central on-campus location. To request assistance, call (540) 231-HELP (4357).

- Get Connected Staff will be available beginning Wednesday, August 20 through Saturday, August 23, 2008 from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- To request computer assistance, please check with your Resident Advisor at the check-in station for your residence hall or simply dial (540) 231-(HELP) 4357.
