Outlook via Citrix & Entourage 2004 v11.2.1
This chart is designed to show the differences between using Outlook via Citrix and Entourage 2004 v11.2.1 when connecting to Virginia Tech's Exchange server in Mac OS. Both of the clients are capable of reading your Exchange e-mail while leaving your messages stored on the server for future use. 1 Entourage synchronizes changes to the Exchange Server from its own database; therefore, calendar and public folder changes can take up to 10 to 15 minutes.
2 Entourage shows free/busy status but does not show calendar event details for other people's Exchange calendars.
3 Save your attachment to the Network Attached Storage (NAS) space, save it to your hard drive, and then open it on your computer. Or, map a folder on your Mac OS sytem as a network drive on the Citrix system. For more information, refer to Opening an Attachment in Outlook via Citrix Using Mac OS X.
4When not online, you can see your e-mail messages and calendar in Entourage; however, you cannot browse the Global Address List (GAL).
