Update 9/7/16:  Wireless service appears to be stable in Robeson and New Classroom buildings but a root cause is still being investigated with our wireless vendor.  Please report any issues to 4Help at 4help.vt.edu.  

Update 9/1/16 10:30a:  Robeson Hall and the New Classroom Building are experiencing wireless service instability that can degrade the wireless service at times.  NI&S is actively engaged with the wireless vendor to determine the root cause and a solution.  In the meantime please continue to report wireless outages to 4Help.

 

Update 8/31/16 9:20a: Residual issues have been reported in Robeson Hall.  Engineers are working to gather more information for a permanent solution. 

Update: 8/30/16 10:43p: Wireless services in New Classroom building and Robeson Hall have been fully restored.

Update:  8/30/16 9:22p: We are still experiencing wireless connectivity issues in New Classroom Building and Robeson Hall.   Network Engineers are working to resolve intermittent connectivity issues and we expect the issues to be fully resolved by 8:00 a.m.,  Wednesday, August 31.  

Some users are still reporting intermittent failures with network connections in some buildings. We are continuing to investigate the issue.RESOLVED Update: We experienced intermittent failures with network connections for around 45 minutes this morning. 

We have received reports of intermittent failures with network connections, including the Avaya phone system, throughout the Tech campus.  We are looking into the problem. There is no ETA on a fix.
