UPDATE 8/20 7:10 AM: Over the evening the process finished and enrollments were restored around 12:45 AM this morning.  We will continue to monitor very closely.  

UPDATE: 10:30 PM:  The process is taking longer than anticipated and will continue to be monitored throughout the night. No further update is available at this time. Another update will be provided tomorrow morning. Thank you again for your patience.

UPDATE: 6:00 PM:   When Virginia Tech was updating instructor and student enrollments in Canvas this afternoon, Instructure (Canvas) was performing maintenance, causing enrollments (both teachers and students) to be dropped from many courses. Virginia Tech's Canvas support team restarted the update and enrollments are being re-added.  This process will take a few hours.  We will be monitoring the jobs throughout the evening.  No course content should be impacted by this incident.Thank you so much for your patience!

UPDATE 4:35 PM:  This issue is only affecting enrollments. The course sites are still in the system – instructors have not lost any teaching materials.

We are experiencing an issue with enrollments in Canvas Sites. We are currently investigating this issue.
